Dads Note:This is a photo from yesterday when we were coming back from Kunjung, it shows Namchee Bazzar the largest sherpa village in the Kumbu valley.
Today Ethan has a bit of a tummy bug so we are staying in Namchee for another day. At high altitude it is wise not to go any higher if your not feeling well.
Ethan has made friend with the local Internet store owner his name is Nima. (see other photo). He lets him play flight simulator sometimes.
Most sherpa's are named after the day they were born.
Monday: Dawa
Tuesday: Mingma
Wednesday:lhakpa
Thursday: phurba
Friday: Pasang
Saturday: Pemba
Sunday: Nima
So , Mt Eden primary kids, if you were a sherpa what would your name be? I would be called Nima. Ethan would be called Mingma.

Hi guys, sorry to hear about the tummy bug Ethan. My son Angus is 8 and he was very impressed with your photo of the yeti skull! He has a bit of a skull collection (he tells me he lost count after 20). His most precious is an albatross one he found when we stayed on Stewart Island, next best is his seal skull.
